Privacy
Plain-language version. Last updated October 20, 2026.
Short version: we collect what we need to run the app and render your videos, we don't sell your data, and a few specialized vendors process it on our behalf to make the service work.
What we collect
- Your wallet address, used to identify your account and verify payments.
- Photos and videos you upload, and the renders generated from them.
- Usage data — renders, payments, timestamps — so your render history and balance are accurate.
- Basic device/traffic data via privacy-friendly site analytics (no cross-site ad tracking).
How we use it
To run renders, verify and process payments, show you your own history and balance, keep the service working, and fix things when they break.
Who it's shared with
A few vendors process data on our behalf, strictly to run the service:
- Higgsfield — receives your uploaded photos/video to actually generate the render.
- Privy — provides your wallet and sign-in.
- Vercel — hosts the app, stores uploaded files, and runs analytics.
- Neon — hosts the database.
What's public by nature
Robinhood Chain is a public blockchain. Your wallet address and any transaction you send are visible to anyone, forever — that's true of any crypto wallet, not something recast controls or can undo.
How long we keep it
Uploads and renders are kept so you can access your own history and re-download finished videos. You can ask us to delete your account data (see below) — we'll remove what we reasonably can, though anything already onchain is permanent by nature.
Your choices
DM @recastaixyz on X to ask what we have on your account or to request deletion. Since your wallet is your login, we'll need you to verify you control it before we act on the request.
Cookies & local storage
We use local storage for small things like your light/dark theme choice and resuming an in-progress render — not for ad tracking.
Age
recast isn't for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
We'll update this page as the product changes, and the "last updated" date above will move when we do.
